David Mark Rekar, MD

Dr. Rekar was born and raised in New York City where he did his undergraduate work at Queen's College, double majoring in mathematics and pre med.  He then went on to medical school at the University of Liege Belgium where the language necessiated him simultaneously learning French, the language of the University.

He excelled at this challenge and eventually earned a coveted acceptance into the prestigious University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville Virginia, from which he received his Doctorate of Medicine in 1980.  Upon graduation he did his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Booth Memorial Hospital in New York City and Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.  He later became a solo practicioner in his own Beverly Hills medical practice starting in the early 1980s.  In 1997 he became the Medical Director of Universal City Medical Group where he offers his patients a customized treatment plan of conventional medicine complemented by a holistic approach whenever possible.  He is fascinated by interesting new advances in health and wellness and is constantly learning new ways to enhance the health and well being of his patients who he treats on a whole person basis.

In his leisure time Dr. Rekar enjoys hiking, watching sports events, reading, movies, live concerts, travel, barbecuing, playing piano and composing music. He has a profound love of nature and among his leisure goals is the determination to visit all the national parks in his lifetime.

Dr. Rona Brynin, M.S, D.C.

Dr. Brynin is a chiropractor, nutritionist and certified personal trainer. She currently is a Nutrition Professor at Antelope Valley College where she teaches general nutrition, sports nutrition and nutrition for children.   She has been teaching there since 2005.

She graduated from Los Angles College of Chiropractic (LACC) in 1989. After graduation she went on to become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician, and later became a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians.

Dr. Brynin worked as a Supervising Doctor at LACC’s Health Center for 15 years while also practicing chiropractic part-time.  During her employment at LACC she decided to pursue a Master’s of Science degree in Human Nutrition, one of her passions since childhood.  She received her M.S. degree from the University of New Haven in 2001. 

She is also a certified personal trainer through the American College of Exercise and has worked with clients both in private gyms and in clients’ homes.

Dr. Brynin’s passion is helping people get healthy, stay healthy, and have more energy by instilling healthy eating and exercise habits, and, of course, incorporating chiropractic care!  In her care of patients she utilizes stretching, corrective exercises, nutritional supplementation, and dietary suggestions.

In her spare time she loves to read, hike, bike along the beach, walk her dogs and go camping.
