We are a medical group specializing in physical medicine, with uniquely trained and talented chiropractors on staff.

Our doctors and chiropractors have successfully treated a variety of conditions including those of professional dancers, musicians and athletes, and including hand/wrist problems such as carpal tunnel, shoulder problems, sciatica, and the whole catalog of musceloskeletal complaints.

Additionally, Thai massage therapy is available next door, provided by a Thai masseuse that some of our patients report is quite good (though she is unaffiliated with our group). Her name is Jasmine and her practice is "Jasmine Thai Massage".

We serve the Hollywood & North Hollywood areas and those surrounding them, near the 101 freeway (pictured at right) including Toluca Lake, Burbank, Studio City, and the Valley. We are also fairly convenient to Los Angeles and West Hollywood since we are located just up from the Hollywood Bowl.

Often we treat people from other parts of the country and around the world through word of mouth referrals, which gives us great pride, treating patients who may have heard of our uniquely specialized work or who prefer a succesful complimentary alternative medical pracice with extensive experience using non-invasive healing modalities. You may be new to the area, or just be unsure about travel times, traffic and other logistical matters regarding your term of care.

The 101 Freeway a.k.a. "The Hollywood Freeway" (displayed in R. Duran's Flickr photo above) and the 134 and 170 freeways, offer convenient access to our facility. You can exit at Universal Center Driver (near Universal Studios), Barham Blvd., or Lankersham Blvd.

Also Please note; Ventura Blvd. (Boulevard) becomes Cahuenga Blvd. (Boulevard) West on its way southward into Hollywood. SO travelling south on Ventura Blvd. you will be headed in our direction. A good landmark is the NISSAN dealership right across the boulevard from us. (the biggest NISSAN dealership in the world?).

Additionally, since we do understand that you may want to receive the best medical, physical therapy, or chiropractic services without travelling so far that you might exacerbate your condition the following is a list of zip codes and cities and towns very near to us. Universal City Medical Wellness Group is a multi-disciplinary medical practice with a focus on family medicine, physical medicine, sports medicine, rehab and holistic medicine.

The ages of our patients have spanned from 6 hours-old to 106 years-old. Some or all of our techniques will be new to you.

Because we view the relationships between differnt symptoms, we will prefer you to tell us about other health problems or illnesses as well. That way we can get to the bottom of things. Canada Confirms Labeling of BPA “Toxic”

Canadian Health Minister Tony Clement announced yesterday that Canada would ban bisphenol, also known as BPA, in baby bottles as well as asking formula makers to reduce leaching from cans, the Globe and Mail reports today.

This represents a tough stand on bottles but a fairly soft one on other products which affect infants and young children - sippy cups, utensils, tableware, pacifiers, and teethers. It suggests there may be no ffirm requirements for eliminating BPA from formula containers or glass baby food jar lids.

From the Mail:

Although the government doesn’t expect to formally ban polycarbonate baby bottles for another year, the use of the product is coming to a rapid end in Canada anyway.
Throughout the week, retailers across the country took the nearly unprecedented step of stripping their shelves of polycarbonate bottles used by infants and adults in the face of overwhelming consumer rejection of the product.
Canada on its own has never taken an international lead to ban the use of controversial substances. The move against bisphenol A, which is able to mimic the female hormone estrogen, is being compared with decisions made by the United States and other countries more than 30 years ago to curb the use of the insecticide DDT - the first major chemical challenged on public health and environmental grounds
